Wednesday we had three Stocks to Watch and two Around the Horn subscription trades on our radar. Of these, one hit for profits, two (WAT & IRF) had great intraday play action and two were no-shows.

Cooper Companies Inc (COO) was a Switch Hitter short for Wednesday’s Around the Horn subscription trade list. Entry was shortly after the open, but opportunity existed for a half hour or so as COO consolidated at that level. COO then traded down to the intial profit target, with exit at that level for all or partial shares. If partial shares, the exit for remaining shares was end of day.

Tuesday we had four Stocks to Watch and two Around the Horn subscription trades on our radar. Of these, one hit for gains, one hit for losses, one was a no-show and three were scratches.

Choicepoint Inc (CPS) was a Fastball long for Tuesday’s Stocks to Watch trade list. Entry was off the open with higher lows until CPS topped out. Exit was on the breakdown from these highs and cross of the 8-period moving average.

Chubb Corp (CB) was a Double Header long for Tuesday’s Around the Horn subscription trade list. Entry was shortly after the open, but with only a little push to the upside, CB stalled out at took us out at the stop loss.
