Around the Horn: Extra Innings for November 20

Monday, November 19, we had two Stocks to Watch and one Around the Horn subscription trade on our radar. Of these, all three hit for profits.

Ryder Systems Inc (R) was a Fastball short for Monday’s Around the Horn subscription trade list. Entry was in the morning and it was a smooth decline to the profit target. If only partial shares were closed out, further profits were gained through the move with an exit end of day.

Cooper Industries Inc (CBE) was a Backdoor Slider short for Monday’s Stocks to Watch list. Entry was below 49.99 as per last night’s article and CBE hit this level in the morning, consolidating here for much of the morning. Late morning CBE began to trade down and continued for three hours. Exit was on a break-up from consolidation across the 8-period simple moving average.
