Wednesday, December 12, we had two Stocks to Watch and three Around the Horn subscription trades on our radar. Of these, two were profitable and three were no-shows.

Supervalu Inc (SVU) was a Fastball short for Wednesday’s Around the Horn subscription trade list. SVU hit the entry level in the afternoon and began trading in a range, breaking through the 50% to target level. We move our stop to breakeven at this level, which triggered an exit, then almost immediately a second entry. Second entry was good to the initial profit target. Exit was at the initial profit target.

Baldor Electric Co (BEZ) was an Infield Fly short for Wednesday’s Stocks to Watch trade list. BEZ was gapped up in the morning and took a long, slow trail back to Tuesday’s closing range for much of the day. BEZ tinkered with the entry level later in the afternoon before trading back up to a resistance level. An intraday entry off of this resistance was one way to trade BEZ, with a break below yesterday’s closing range another way. Exit on either entry was end of day on the bounce off of lows.
