Thursday, February 28, we had four Stocks to Watch and four Around the Horn subscription trades on our radar. Of these, two were difficult, with two entries each, the first of each trading to its stop loss and the second entry of one not quite hitting its profit target and the other resulting in a scratch stop. All others were no shows.

Cooper Companies Inc (COO) was Switch Hitter short for Thursday’s Around the Horn subscription trade list. COO opened and traded down to our entry price before snapping back and trading to and above our stop loss level. Second entry was later in the afternoon and this time traded past the 50% to target level before coming within 10 cents to the profit target, where we move our profit stop up to the 50% to target level. Exit was end of day at that level.

Quest Diagnostics Inc (DGX) was 3-2 Pitch short for Thursday’s Around the Horn subscription trade list. DGX similarly hit the entry shortly off the open and traded directly to the stop. There was a second entry late in the morning that ultimately resulted in a scratch loss.
