Friday, March 7, we had five Stocks to Watch, one Extra Innings and three Around the Horn subscription trade on our radar. Of these, one was profitable, two were losses and one of these twice, four were scratch trades (two of these to the upside) and two were no-shows.

Holly Corp (HOC) was a Stocks to Watch Fastball short for Friday’s trade list. There were at least two to three entry opportunities, one quickly off the open with an equally fast exit on the reversal. The other two were a little later, with one on the break of yesterday’s support with a fairly tight stop (relative to the target of today’s entry level) and the other at or around the target area. Exit for both was on the second failure to break lower toward end of day.

Equity Residential (EQR) was a Fastball short for Friday’s Around the Horn subscription trade list. EQR triggered our entry twice, once for a quick scratch and once more for a loss.

Gamestop Corp (GME) was a Switch Hitter short for Friday’s Around the Horn subscription trade list. GME did a number on us twice, taking us from entry to stop loss for the two entries we allow a day. Aggravatingly, third time was a charm, going to and beyond our initial profit target without us.
