Tuesday, April 15, we had three Stocks to Watch, two Extra Innings and three Around the Horn subscription trades on our radar. Of these, four were profitable, one was a scratch and three were no-shows.

Stone Energy Corp (SGY) was a Sinker short for Tuesday’s Around the Horn subscription trade list. SGY gapped open and continued higher, meeting our qualification for this setup of testing the prior day’s high. A couple hours into the session SGY hit our entry level and traded down over the next hour to our initial profit target, with an exit here for all or partial shares and exit of any remaining shares anywhere off consolidation lows.

Apache Corp (APA) was a Sinker short for Tuesday’s Stocks to Watch trade list. APA gapped open and began trading lower. APA hit our entry level several times for scratch trades or small profits before taking off down to the central pivot and dipping below. Exit is at this pivot level or on the reverse from the dip below.

Atwood Oceanics Inc (ATW) was a Sinker short for Tuesday’s Stocks to Watch trade list. ATW gapped open and began trading lower to hit our entry level and trade down to the central pivot. Exit is at this pivot level or on the reverse from the dip below.

Hospira Inc (HSP) was a short for Tuesday’s Extra Innings trade list. HSP gapped open and began trading lower. After oscillating between pivots, HSP broke down through the S1 pivot and our entry level down to the S2 pivot. Exit is at this pivot level or on the reverse from the dip below.
