Around the Horn: Extra Innings for May 5

Friday, May 2, we had four Stocks to Watch, one Extra Inning and three Around the Horn subscription trades on our radar. Of these, two were profitable, one was a scratch twice and five were no-shows.

Kansas City Southern (KSU) was a Sinker short for Friday’s Around the Horn subscription trade list. KSU gapped open, qualifying this as a viable trade and quickly hit our entry level, and almost as quickly hit the initial profit target. Exit was at this target, either on the way down through the target or on the way back through.

Bank Hawaii Corp (BOH) was a Sinker short for Friday’s Stocks to Watch trade list. BOH opened and traded higher, qualifying this trade for the entry at yesterday’s close. First entry was a shake-out, but there were at least three other entries that kept the trade alive until mid-afternoon, with an exit at the bounce back off of lows.
