Around The Horn: Extra Innings For July 8

Monday, July 7, we had four Around the Horn subscription trades on our radar. Of these two were profitable, one was a scratch, and one was a loss.

Constellation Energy Group (CEG) was a Switch Hitter short for Monday’s Around the Horn subscription trade list. GEG hit our entry mid-session then traded to the S1 green pivot and our initial profit target before continuing lower. Exit was below this level at or below the S2 (yellow) pivot area.

Metlife Inc (MET) was a Switch Hitter short for Monday’s Around the Horn subscription trade list. MET played us out, triggering our entry and consolidating on the S1 pivot for much of the day, before taking a detour to our stop loss and crashing back to the pivot. I’ll be watching this one tomorrow to see if it doesn’t follow through.

Renaissancere Holdings LTD (RNR) was a Switch Hitter short for Monday’s Around the Horn subscription trade list. RNR tagged us in mid-morning, but did not go 10 cents in our favor before going 10 cents against us, and we scratched the trade. Early afternoon RNR again triggered our price, but ended the trade where it began and I will be watching this tomorrow for follow through.

Zimmer Holdings Inc (ZMH) was a Switch Hitter short for Monday’s Around the Horn subscription trade list. ZMH hit our entry mid-day just below the S1 pivot. ZMH didn’t make much progress over the next hour or so, but then traded quickly to and through our profit target. Exit was below this level.
