Thursday, September 25, we had three Around the Horn subscription trades, two Extra Innings and four Stocks to Watch on our radar. Of these, four yielded profits, one was a loss and the rest were no-shows.

Nicor Inc (GAS) was a Switch Hitter long for Thursday’s Around the Horn subscription trade list. GAS hit shortly after the open and bobbled around a little, tagging the 50% to target level before returning to stop us out a breakeven. A second entry was 10 minutes or so afterward and this time GAS traded to the profit target. Exit was at this level.

Nexen Inc (NXY) was a Switch Hitter short for Thursday’s Around the Horn subscription trade list. NXY hit an hour and a half or so into the session but could not break through the S1 pivot level and took us out at our stop loss. A second entry was later in the day, but we scratched out of this one as it tagged us in but did not go more than 10 cents on our favor before the reversal.

City National Corp (CYN) was a 3-2 Pitch long for Thursday’s Stocks to Watch trade list. CYN hit the suggested entry a half hour or so into the session and traded steadily to and through the S1 pivot level before reversing. Exit was on the reversal.

Consolidated Edison Inc (ED) was a 3-2 Pitch long for Thursday’s Stocks to Watch trade list. ED hit the suggested entry off the open and traded steadily to and through the R1 and R2 pivot levels before reversing. Exit was on the reversal.

AK Stl Holding Corp (AKS) was an Extra Inning short for Thursday’s Stocks to Watch trade list. An entry short off the open traded quickly down and through the S1 pivot level and consolidated for an hour or so before reversing. Exit was on the reversal.
