Friday, October 17, we had one Around the Horn subscription trade and two Stocks to Watch on our radar. Of these, two had profit opportunities.

American Electric Power Inc (AEP) was a Switch Hitter long for Friday’s Around the Horn subscription trade list. Entry was mid-day, first with a tag-in (when the stock hits the entry level and trades more than 10 cents against you before it trades the same in your profit direction) resulting in a scratch. Second entry was an hour or so later, and this time AEP traded to the profit target and beyond. Exit was at the profit target with any remaining shares having an exit of the break-down of the R2 pivot.

Ameren Corp (AEE) was a Switch Hitter long for Friday’s Stocks to Watch trade list. Entry opportunities were possible in the morning off the Central Pivot, the first of which resulting in smaller profits, with an exit from early entry on a breakdown of support/resistance. Later entry took AEE from the Central pivot to R1 pivot and beyond. Exit was either at the R1 pivot or at the breakdown from highs back to this level.
