Around The Horn: Extra Innings For November 18

Today we had three Around the Horn premium trades and three Stocks to Watch trades on our radar. Of these, two were profitable and the others did not hit an entry or were gapped beyond our entry.

Camden Property Trust (CPT) was a Double Header short for Monday’s Around the Horn premium trade list. CPT hit our entry shortly after the open, trading down the 50% to target level before trading back to our entry. This is one of those teasers where you had to get right back in after scratching out, but that paid off in a trip to the profit target. Another entry was possible later in the day, after CPT had traveled up to the stop loss level and back down again. It consolidated around the entry but shy of the stop loss until the very last minutes of trading when it faded into the close.

Apartment Investment & Management (AIV) was a Double Header short for today’s Stocks to Watch trade list. AIV is an excellent example of a Breaking Ball pattern, consolidating off the open and signaling an entry on the breakdown of that level. This trend down continues, trading into another consolidation and breaking down to the S1 pivot level. Exit is on the bounce off of this level. Another entry opportunity is possible after a pullback and yet third consolidation.
