Around The Horn: Extra Innings For November 19

Tuesday, November 18, 2008, we had three Around the Horn premium trades, three Extra Innings and three Stocks to Watch trades on our radar. Of these, six were profitable, two went in our direction but without clear signals and one did not hit.

Crown Castle International Corp (CCI) was a Switch Hitter short for Tuesday’s Around the Horn premium trade list. CCI hit our entry in the morning, trading down the 50% to target level before trading back to our entry. A second entry came 10 minutes or so later and this time CCI traded down to and through the profit target. Exit was at this level.

Metlife Inc (MET) was a Fast Ball short for Tuesday’s Around the Horn premium trade list. MET hit our entry right off of the open in a fast, hold on to your hats type of an entry. Almost as soon as it was hitting our entry it was trading to our target and fast fingers were rewarded. A second entry came 10 minutes or so later and again MET traded down to and through the profit target. Exit was at or just below this level. Another trading opportunity occurred later in the day off of a Breaking Ball consolidation, signaled by a large 5 minute bar followed by a tight consolidation, in this case above the S1 pivot.

Nike Inc (NKE) and NBTY Inc (NTY) were both Switch Hitters short and Quanta Services Inc (PWR) was an Extra Inning short for today’s Stocks to Watch trade list. All of these had profit opportunities intraday off of the Central Pivot.
