On Tuesday December 16, 2008 we had two Around the Horn premium trades, two Stocks to Watch and two Extra Innings on our radar. Of these, two were profitable and the rest were no-shows.

Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CM) was a Switch Hitter long Around the Horn premium trade for Tuesday’s trading. CM stayed well below our entry price most of the day, rising late in the day with the rest of the market. CM triggered our entry and went straight through our profit target, hesitating at the R2 pivot before climbing even higher. Exit was at the profit target or at the R2 pivot level as CM flew through never retested the target price.

Community Health Sys Inc (CYH) was a Fast Ball short Around the Horn premium trade for Tuesday’s trading. CYH hit and hour or so into the session and traded slowly lower most of the day, with a consolidation midday. CYH finally touched our profit target toward end of day and we were there to grab our profits.
