Around The Horn: Extra Innings For December 22

On Thursday December 18, 2008 we had two Around the Horn premium trades, two Stocks to Watch and two Extra Innings on our radar. Of these, one was profitable, another had profit opportunities and the remaining were no-shows or scratch trades.

Agnico Eagle Mines LTD (AEM) was an Infield Fly short Around the Horn premium trade for Thursday’s trading. AEM opened lower than our entry, but pulled back up across the R1 pivot and down through our price. AEM then took a dive past our initial profit target and through the Central Pivot. Exit was at the pullback from lows and trade back to the Central Pivot.

Allstate Corp (ALL) was an Extra Inning long for Thursday’s trading. A profit opportunity presented itself off the open when ALL opened just below the Central pivot. Entry was on the cross of this pivot with a target and exit at the R1 level.
