On Monday December 29, 2008, we had two Around the Horn premium trades and three Stocks to Watch on our radar. Of these, one was profitable, one was a loss.

Corn Products International Inc (CPO) was a Switch Hitter short Around the Horn premium trade for Monday’s trading. CPO triggered our entry mid-session and pulled back some, but well under our stop-loss level. CPO then behaved itself and traded down to the initial profit target, with an exit at this level.

Axix Capital Holdings (AXS) was a Switch Hitter long Around the Horn premium trade for Monday’s trading. AXS triggered our entry after a gap-up failure and retracement to closing levels. AXS could not hold the momentum, however, and took us to a stop loss. A second entry presented itself late in the session and ran out of steam once again, scratching us out just below the entry level.
