Live Trading Room Stock Setups For July 5

It was only a half day of trade, but there are typically a few trades that will still trigger. I like to tighten the targets in a condensed time frame, whether I'm entering a trade with two hours left in the session on a full trading day or taking trades on a half day before a holiday.

I'd still play it tight on Friday. Sometimes the data is a little off on a half day, because stocks may have traded through the official closing bell at 1:00 p.m. Eastern. Check your intraday data versus your daily data, particularly the high, low, and close. Some of the data may be cleaned before the Friday open. If you have a significant difference in data between the intraday and daily data, play it safe by throwing away the stock setup. I lean towards using the daily data after a half day of trade.

Two trades from today triggered.

CVS LONG 57.76 58.10 $0.34
HON SHORT 76.30 76.57 $(0.27)

Total of $0.07 per share. Multiply average share size to estimate gross earnings. 1000 shares per trade would be $890 gross earnings for the day. $1.66 per share for the month. 1000 share per trade would be $1,660 gross earning for the month.

Wide-range bar setups for the next trading day. The day trade setup is only good for the upcoming trading session.

Entries, targets, and stops are based on the day's likely inflection points, and natural support and resistance. Avoid trade until bid/ask spread narrows.
