I always like to start the month on a positive note. There's less likelihood of breaking rules and winging it when the month is positive in the aggregate.

It's often difficult to make money when the market gaps and goes, because the stocks become overextended and never provide an opportunity to take an entry. Our better scenario on an opening gap is to see the gap at least partially filled. The market reversal will gives us cheaper prices to enter trades in the direction of the gap, or trigger trades opposite of the gap, like we saw today.
