On Wednesday, we had five Stocks to Watch and three Around the Horn subscription trades on our radar. We should have taken our own advice and stayed out of the market today after yesterday’s historic plunge, but we took a few unsuccessful stabs, with two hitting for losses and six no-shows.
Dow Jones & Co (DJ) was a Fast Ball short setup for Wednesday’s Around the Horn subscription service. DJ hit our short entry in the morning and traded down to the 50% to target and S1 level before bouncing back and taking us out at the breakeven stop. A second entry presented itself and we again entered only to trail into the end of the day, without profit or being stopped out at our 36.13 level. Exit was end of day just below that stop level.

Pactiv Corp (PTV) was a Fast Ball short setup for Wednesday’s Around the Horn subscription service. PTV didn’t even toy with us when it triggered our entry and almost immediately traded to our stop loss.

We had a few setups for today that didn’t trigger that could be set up tomorrow if the market turns weak and we will be VERY CAUTIOUSLY watching these for tomorrow.
