Around the Horn: Nightly Review
On Thursday, March 1, we had two Stocks to Watch, four Extra Innings and two Around the Horn subscription trades on our radar. Of these, 1 hit for profits, 1 hit for losses and six were blown out by DOW futures lower than 100 prior to the open.
Barrick Gold (ABX) was a short from Wednesday night’s Stocks to Watch column. ABX was blown out in the morning like most of our shorts, but traded up throughout the day and rounded back down in the second half of the session. ABX traded back down through the S1 and then the entry level and then S2. Exit was on a trailing stop and cross of the 8-period simple moving average.
Barrick Gold
Cabot Oil & Gas (COG) was our only long for today, and any level was probably better than the one we entered at toward the end of day above R1. We thought it had scalping possibilities at the least and a decent hold over possibility at best. Exit was below the 8- or 20-period simple moving average.

No Extra Innings for Friday, March 1, 2007.
