Around the Horn: Nightly Review

Around the Horn: Nightly Review

On Monday, March 19, we had three Stocks to Watch, three Extra Innings and five Around the Horn subscription trades on our radar. These were all looking for some short side and the market was definitely to the long side, so of these, one hit for slight profits and we’re holding some over for a swing trade, one hit for a loss to the planned stop level and eight were no-shows.

Ryland Group (RYL) was a Switch Hitter short entry for Monday’s Around the Horn subscription service. RYL opened to the upside, like most of the market, and traded in a range around its central pivot for much of the day. Entry was later in the day with only slight follow-through. We liked the setup and exited 70% of our position end of day, holding 30% open as a swing. RYL was on our service as an intraday setup, but also on Tom Incorvia’s Swing Trading Service, and we’re in with Tom for tomorrow!

Precision Castparts (PCP) was anInfield Fly short from Monday’s Around the Horn setups. PCP tagged us in only to stop us out. We didn’t give this one any room, as stocks at this price point tend to move quickly.
