Around the Horn: Extra Innings for May 3

Wednesday we had three Stocks to Watch, one Extra Innings and three Around the Horn subscription service trades on our radar. Of these, three were winners, two were scratch trades to the upside, and two were no-shows.

Agilent Technologies (A) was a Fastball long setup for Wednesday’s Around the Horn subscription service. A hit our entry price mid-morning and traded steadily up to our initial profit target and the R1 pivot level. Exit was at this level or at the failure to hold the R1 pivot toward end of day.

Fluor Corp (FLR) was a Switch Hitter long setup from Tuesday night’s Stocks to Watch column. FLR hit our entry price not too long after the open and traded steadily up to the R2 pivot level and beyond. FLR then traded along a support level and exit was at the break down from this consolidation and crossing of the 8 and 20 period moving averages.

Thomas & Betts (TNB) was a Switch Hitter long setup from Tuesday night’s Stocks to Watch column. TNB hit our entry price off of the open and traded quickly up through R1 to the R2 pivot level and beyond. TNB hit resistance and exit was at the break down from this level, crossing of the 8 period moving average.
