Around the Horn: Extra Innings for May 15
On Monday, May 14, 2007, we had three Stocks to Watch and four Around the Horn subscription trades on our radar. Of these, two hit for profits, one was a loss and four were no-shows.
Black & Decker Corp (BDK) was a Sinker reversal short setup for Monday’s Around the Horn subscription trades. BDK opened and traded up and through our trigger area for the pattern at yesterday’s high. Our entry level was triggered midday, and after a consolidation at this level, BDK began a decent through our initial profit target and through the central pivot. We trailed this trade with a parabolic support and resistance on a 25 tick chart, and exited as BDK crossed this area and the 8-period simple moving average after a reversal of two closes.
Black & Decker Corp
Exelon Corp (EXC) was a Switch Hitter long setup for Monday’s Around the Horn subscription trades. EXC opened strong, but quickly faded and stopped us out at our planned stop loss.
Exelon Corp
Consol Energy (CNX) was a Sinker reversal short setup for Monday’s Around the Horn subscription trades. CNX opened and traded up and through our trigger area for the pattern at yesterday’s high. Our entry level was triggered mid-afternoon, and traded straight down to the central pivot and initial profit target level. Exit was at this level on the bounce back off of the pivot and through the 8 period simple moving average.
