Around the Horn: Extra Innings for May 23

On Tuesday, May 22, 2007, we had five Stocks to Watch, three Extra Innings and two Around the Horn subscription trades on our radar. Of these, six hit for profits, one was a scratch and three were no-shows.

Bunge Ltd (BG) was an Extra Inning setup from Monday night’s Extra Innings column. BG opened and within an hour had hit the entry level just above R1. BG went on to break through R2 before retracing. Exit was on the reversal of this sharp rise, on the break across the 8-period simple moving average or breakdown below R2.

Fair Isaac (FIC) was an Extra Inning setup from Monday night’s Extra Innings column. FIC opened and hit the entry level just above R1. FIC traded up slowly for most of the day. Exit was end of day after tagging the R2 pivot level and crossing back across the 8 period simple moving average.

Anadarko Petroleum (APC) was an Infield Fly short setup from Monday night’s Stocks to Watch column. APC opened and consolidated around the Central Pivot for the morning. APC hit the entry level on a drop from this level, trading down through S1 before the bounce off of S2. There was a second opportunity for profits later in the day with exit end of day.

First American Corporation (FAF) was a Fastball long setup from Monday night’s Stocks to Watch column. FAF hit the entry level mid-day and traded steadily toward R1, with exit end of day.

Comp Siderwrgica Nacional (SID) was an Infield Fly short for Tuesday’s Around the Horn subscription setups. SID opened and hit the entry level shortly thereafter.
