Around the Horn: Extra Innings for June 28

Wednesday we had three Stocks to Watch, two Extra Innings and four Around the Horn subscription service trades on our radar. Of these, two hit for profits, one was a no-show, two were scratches and four were gapped below our entry.

Om Group (OMG) was a Fastball short setup for Wednesday’s Around the Horn subscription service. OMG hit our short entry level off of the opening, swinging increasingly lower with each five minute bar before blasting through the initial profit target down to S1. Exit was at or below the S1 level.

Supervalu Inc (SVU) was a Fastball short setup for Wednesday’s Around the Horn subscription service. SVU hit our entry in the morning and consolidated at this level until lunchtime when SVU began to trade lower. SVU wasn’t able to break the S1 pivot level at the 50% to target level. Our stop was moved to breakeven at the failure to trade lower, but wasn’t needed. Exit was end of day.

AMB Property (AMB) was a Fastball short setup from Monday night’s Stocks to Watch column. AMB hit the entry level mid-morning and traded down to the S1 pivot level. Exit was on the break back up through S1 on the failure to trade lower.

Extra Innings and Opportunities for Thursday, June 27, 2007:

As four of our trades were gapped lower only to trade higher today, I don’t feel confident in these setting up for tomorrow. We’ll see what tomorrow brings, keeping an eye on those that didn’t trigger to see if there is any indication of follow-through for Friday.
