Wednesday we had four Stocks to Watch, one Extra Inning and four Around the Horn subscription service trades on our radar. Of these, two hit for profits, two were scratch trades and five we no-shows.

Nordstorm, Inc (JWN) was a Fastball short setup for Wednesday’s Around the Horn subscription service. JWN hit our entry price 30 minutes into the session, trading down to the 50% to target and S1 level before reversing back to a scratch stop at the entry level. Second entry was on a breakdown from this level mid-day. When JWN failed to break down to the initial target price late in the day, exit was at the 50% to target level.

Reliance Steel & Aluminum (RS) was an Extra Inning short setup for Wednesday’s Nightly Wrap & Extra Innings column. I have been watching RS since last week and today it paid off. RS opened in yesterday’s closing range and quickly traded down past the central pivot to my support and resistance entry level. After trading through S1 & S2, exit was on the bounce off lows and crossing of the 8 period simple moving average at the S2 level.
