Monday, we had thee Stocks to Watch and one Around the Horn subscription service trade on our radar. Of these, two hit for profits, one was a double scratch and one was a no-show.

PA Real Estate Investment Trust (PEI) was a Switch Hitter short for Monday’s Around the Horn subscription service. PEI hit our entry level mid-day, tagging us in only to “scratch” us out; twice. When a planned trade hits our entry level but never goes more than 10 cents in our direction before reversing, our rule is to stop out at 10 cents above the initial entry price.

Bowater Inc (BOW) was a Switch Hitter Short for Monday’s Stocks to Watch column. BOW hit our entry level and languished in this area for most of the morning. In the afternoon BOW traded to the downside, with an exit on the cross of the 8-period simple moving average on a pop up from support.

Beazer Homes USA Inc (BZH) was a Switch Hitter Short for Monday’s Stocks to Watch column. BZH hit our entry level shortly after the open, trading down mid-morning. An exit on this move came on the break above the resistance level on a cross of the 8-period simple moving average. A possible second entry presented itself in the afternoon on the breakdown of the support and resistance level and was good until end of day.
