Wednesday, we had two Stocks to Watch, three Around the Horn subscription trades and two Extra Innings on our radar. Of these, five hit for profits and two were a no-shows.

Amerisourcebergen Corp (ABC) was a Switch Hitter short from Tuesday night’s Around the Horn subscription service. ABC opened gap down and traded higher into yesterday’s closing range. Entry was on the breakdown from these levels at the stated entry level. ABC reversed again, taking us nearly to the stop loss level before trading back to the entry, and eventually breaking down. ABC traded to the initial profit target and beyond. Exit was close to end of day on the bounce up from lows on the cross of the 8-period simple moving average.

General Growth Properties Inc (GGP) was a Switch Hitter short from Tuesday night’s Around the Horn subscription service. GGP hit our entry price close to end of day at 12:10 PST, 10 minutes before our moratorium on entering new trades for the day. GGP came within one penny of our stop loss before trading back down and through the entry to an exit level below 48.60 end of day.

Bowater Inc. (BOW) was a short from Tuesday’s Nightly Wrap & Extra Innings column. BOW opened and traded higher to a consolidation resistance. Entry was at the entry level on the breakdown from these levels. Exit was end of day.

Grainger Inc. (GWW) was a Fastball short from Tuesday night’s Stocks to Watch column. GGP hit our entry price close to end of day and never looked back. Exit was end of day and over a point.

Rockwell Automation Corp (ROK) was a Switch Hitter short from Tuesday night’s Stocks to Watch column. ROK hit our entry price mid-day and consolidated near this level for much of the day. Later in the afternoon ROK traded to the downside, with an exit end of day.
