Thursday we had one Stocks to Watch, two Extra Innings and three Around the Horn subscription trades on our radar. Of these, two hit for profits and the rest were no-shows.

Agilent Technologies Inc (A) was a Switch Hitter long for Thursday’s Around the Horn subscription service trade list. Entry was mid-morning and Agilent meandered along slowly upward until it stalled at the 50% to target level. Agilent spent some time bobbling around this level, popping above this level end of day, running out of time to make it to the profit target.

Apache Corp (APA) was a long for both Thursday’s Stocks to Watch and Thursday’s Extra Innings list. APA took off like a rocket this morning, hitting the entry level in the first 50 ticks of the morning. Exit was soon after, on a halt of the sharp move to the upside when APA began to falter. There were two more trips to the trough on APA today, with plenty of opportunity to keep a trader busy.
