Tuesday we had three Stocks to Watch and one Extra Inning on our radar. Of these, one hit for profits twice, two were scratch trades and two were no shows.
Smith International Inc (SII) was a Switch Hitter for Tuesday’s Stocks to Watch column. Entry was off the open. SII hesitated around this level before moving higher. Exit was on the dip below the 8-period moving average. SII had a second entry opportunity mid-afternoon, with an exit for this entry late in the day on a cross of the 8-period moving average off of highs.
