Disappointing Finish To Up-Session In Stock Market
The day did start out with a gap up. They tried to rally but rolled over and took the S&P 500 to new session lows, but failed to take out last week's low, despite the fact that the Nasdaq 100 did. Then they stair-stepped their way up in a five-way rally that took the indices to new session highs late in the afternoon. In the last hour or so they rolled over after formidable overhead resistance failed to get penetrated.

Strong Start, Lousy Finish, As Nasdaq 100 Takes Out Support
The stock market had a strong start and another terrible finish and closed at the lows for the day going away with steep losses across the board in a very disappointing session, to say the least. The lows were taken out on the Nasdaq 100, while the S&P 500 hasn't quite done that yet though will likely be testing the lows early tomorrow.

Nasdaq, Financials Losers While Blue Chips Rally
The markets had a phenomenal early part of the session, gapping up huge. Unfortunately, that was the high for the day. The indices sold off sharply for the rest of the session, and actually took out the Friday lows on the Nasdaq 100 but held way above that on the S&P 500, as the blue chips outperformed today.
